Atticus Gannaway joined the International Wizard of Oz Club as a child in 1988, having already devoured numerous Oz books by Baum and Thompson. Atticus's novel The Silver Sorceress of Oz was published by Books of Wonder in 2002. He was editor-in-chief of The Baum Bugle from 2001 to 2004 and is currently the review editor, managing both the "Oz Bookshelf" and "MultimediOz" columns. He also serves as the Oz Club's webmaster and social media manager.
In 2011, the Bugle published his set of articles about the life and work of Oz illustrator Frank Kramer. Atticus's in-depth biographical article about Oz illustrator and Oz Club leader Dick Martin appeared two years later. Atticus was a member of the Club's Board of Directors from 2009 to 2015. He received the L. Frank Baum Memorial Award in 2012. Atticus is currently writing a collective biography of George M. Hill, Frank Reilly, Sumner Britton, and William F. Lee. In the Great Outside World, he is the senior writer in New York University School of Law's Office of Communications.
